Need to learn to commit

I need to motivate myself as well as my boyfriend. Any ideas. He's about 450 he's about 6ft tall he carries it well but he has a belly and he's not active at ALL. eating right is a constant battle. Some days I'm good but if food is low I'm back to square 1. Help!!!!! He wants to change but men can be so stubborn. I'm an unbalanced example because I have all the advice in the world but I need to practice what I preach.

    Rahall7 I am with JannaG123....be a good example. I have been married to a man for 22 years that thinks vegetables belong in the garden and not on his plate! He does start paying more attention to what I am eating, especially if it is a new recipe. However, he needs to be motivated as well. I know for me that if I am not in the right frame of mind, I cant find the time to exercise or eat right. I have thrown myself in this time. I joined Biggest Loser at work AND they have a "walking works" challenge. I also came running back to SparkPeople. I make myself do SOMETHING every day to move. Even if it is just a little walk. I find once I am out there, I spend more and more time. So maybe you can start small. A walk after dinner is what we do. I also do my morning walk and fitness room at work but at least he is walking with me once a day. Also PRAY PRAY PRAY for him and yourself.

    I think being a good example is the best advise. My boyfriend and I are doing this together and it really does make it easier. Just stress how much it will help you to get healthy if he makes healthy choices too. Good luck!
