Everyone has an opinion on the best way to lose unwanted fat. I've taken the advice of fitness experts
, nutrition experts
and friends that have experienced success
. There is so much conflicting information available on the internet too
! Some say low fat and others say good fat and still others say any fat you want (just no carbs). Over past 20 years of yo-yo dieting, I've learned a LOT about nutrition, exercise and healthy living and I'm beginning to wonder if there is really a "right" answer that will work for everyone
I'm at a point where I think I just need to do what's right for me and not do EXACTLY what someone else thinks is right for me. Everyone has different metabolisms and everyone breaks down and uses different nutrients differently so what works for one will not work for another EXACTLY in the same way. Everyone does not burn the EXACT amount of calories doing the exact same workout doing it with the same amount of intensity. So why would the same strict diet work for everyone if they don't burn calories the same? (can you tell I'm a perfectionist?)
Now, please hear me, I'm not saying I'm going to go out and eat what ever I feel like. There is one rule that is absolutely true...calories in need to be less than calories out. What those calories will actually be is where things are getting confusing and exhausting. I'm done doing the fad diet thing and I'm doing to start doing what makes my body feel alive and well. Fuel my machine for my workouts and grow stronger. Balance my diet out so it can be sustainable for a lifetime not just till I get to my goal.

, and listen to the information my body is telling me combined with all that I know to be true (from experience) to find out what is the "right" answer for me and I hope you can to!
