Adventures in Puppy Ownership and More

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

As I sit blogging, there is a 50lb fur ball of a Pitbull mix curled up on my lap. His sweet expression is almost adorable enough to make me forget about the foot long tear he ripped through my comforter last week and the fist size hole he ate through my MATRESS yesterday. He's just old enough (9 months) that he's potty trained and well behaved enough when we ARE home that we decided to let him have free rein of our bedroom while we work instead of crating him. We made sure to put everything up... But he keeps managing to find trouble once a week.

That being said, he is a great little motivator. If he's been properly walked everyday, he's calm and lazy around the house. Miss a day and he will make you regret it lol.

It's the second month of Biggest Loser at work and the second winner will be determined tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Mama needs a new pair of shoes....seriously, my dog eats those too.

Hope your Biggest Loser contest went well!

And oy, I remember puppies and teeth. We had pups when I was a teenager who went so far as to chew on the corners of the house (outside). They were very odd mutts, siblings. Their mother was a border collie - and who knows what the fathers were, but one looked like a basset hound while the other looked like a sheltie.
