My first day

First day's are scary. They involve trying something new and new things make us nervous or uneasy. We don't like change. We don't like to try new things. New foods, new jobs, new schools, new shops, new countries, new languages; the list is endless. Sometimes I find it easier to accept things if they are similar to something I'm familiar with, for example, I tried the Double Caramel Magnum because I know I like the Milk Chocolate Magnum and I like caramel. We tend to stay with things that make us feel safe, and these happen to be those that we surround ourselves with frequently!
This is my first day with my SparkPage. This is also my first blog. These things together is scary. It's unfamiliar territory for me.
Despite finding a lack of confidence when trying out new things, they can be good. Different foods provide different nutrients important in our diet, for example, and different countries hold different cultures that open our minds and can be uplifting. There have been many public campaigns to attempt to encourage people to try something new and, I think, this is for our own benefit. So why not, when your next hungry, bored or planning a holiday, try something new and live life happy!
