MY Spark Challenge: 21 Days to Break 200 lbs by April 18, 2012

It actually took me 28 days and I reached it today april 24th. But those 28 days were a real microcosm of my weight loss journey for the past 3 years. Two steps forward, one step back, plateau, plateau, plateau, two steps forward, one step back...you get the idea. (see my daily weight log at the bottom)

Getting past 200 has always been an emotional barrier to me, I've gotten close many many times. I think I felt as if somehow I didn't deserve to be under 200. That that was for other people, but not for me. So yes, it feels great, it feels as if...a weight has been lifted.

But I was strangely calm, as I stood on the scale looking down into the abyss. As if my brain and my body both said...'We have worked hard for this. These are the fruits of our labor'.

Well now I guess I need to set myself a new challenge. I need to think on that. But in the meantime I took this photo, to remind myself that " Hey I Did It". Be Well.

Love the scale tracking, shows a very strong pattern - congrats on sticking with it - weighing daily and achieving your goal.

You demonstrated a principle I think is very important in goal setting - setting and then taking consistent action in working towards the goal is more important than achieving it in the time frame you set.

You got your goal - you're a success and a winner, does it really matter whether it was in 21 or 28 or 45 days?

A year from now you may not remember how many days it took, but you will remember that you made it.

Stay Strong my friend
