XWeighted...and me!

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Some people write Blogs for a living...some don't . I am one of those people who don't.

On May 14 the website is doing a blog on my weight loss story. How cool is that?!

XWeighted is also a TV show that airs here in Canada. It documents individuals and families as they strive to lose certain amounts of weight over a certain amount of time. Some reach those goals and some don't. Not only do they document the diet and exercise but they also manage to get to the root of how they got there to begin with.

My story, like most, spans back years. My weight started to fluctuate up and down after having my first child in 2001. Soon after that I became comfortable. As long as my husband loved me unconditionally then why did I need to change. Fast forward 10 years and 2 more children I reached my heaviest weight and my blood pressure was nearing stroke. Something had to give and what had to give was me. No more excuses...if I wanted to be around for my family then I needed to give.

I began my journey to lose 10lbs, that 10lbs has now turned into 70lbs down and 15lbs more to go. What a journey it has been, can't wait to see what lays ahead.

Everyone has a story. What's yours?

I remember watching XWeighted a few years ago on Global, but I don't think it is currently playing on Global. On which channel could I find it or maybe is it available over the Internet? I would love to watch that episode about your weight loss journey. I am not a fan of most reality tv, but I found XWeighted, contrary to Biggest Loser, presented a reasonable and realistic picture of the weight loss journey, its struggles and its triumphs. I always found it motivating.
