OMG!!!! KFC is really fattening!

I went over my caloric allowance today all because I ate KFC!!!! I had one drumstick and one thigh; both hot and spicy, 2 buns, one serving each of coleslaw and mashed potato. I tracked it and was amazed at how many calories I have consumed!!!!

I don't even dare track the little sips of mountain dew!!!! Oh well, that just goes to show that I can't eat like this everyday! Why was I so hungry? I did 1 and a half hours of Pilates. I sweated quite a bit; it feels so good after a bath.

Oh Gosh! I hope I didn't undo the good of that Pilates session.............sigh! Well, back on the healthy lifestyle wagon!

    KFC calls out to me occasionally... I stay away from the potatoes & biscuits. I eat a breast and coleslaw... once I'm done licking my fingers I'm satisfied. It's all about portion control emoticon

    i'm trying to give up all white foods altogether so the buns/biscuits are a reall challenge for me, especially KFC..they are so good!!! emoticon

    I see someone recommended the grilled chicken option. Check out the calories on that before you eat it. I looked once and was amazed at the number of calories in "grilled" chicken. Fast food is almost always a bad choice. Fat and sodium that is off the charts and you end up being hungry again in a few hours. Not worth it!!

    I track calories before going to restaurants now - mostly because of the sodium count. We were going to a Chili's - and I know my husband loves BBQ ribs (I do, too) so we were going to split an order. Ooops - 6300+ mg of SODIUM. We went elsewhere!

    One spree won't hurt you overall, but it could show up a little bit tomorrow. It will go away again in a day. Don't regret it - just don't do it OFTEN! And when you do, go right ahead and enjoy it!

    A little KFC splurge will not hurt your overall efforts, as long as it's just that - a splurge on an occasional basis! I confess, I like my KFC too. Once in awhile, good, yummy bad-for-you food is good for the soul!

    Avoid buns/biscuits at ANY restaurant/fast food establishment. They're just empty calories. Do the KFC's over there offer a grilled chicken option? It defeats the purpose of the F in KFC, but the grilled chicken they have here is pretty tasty.
