Does cooking at home add pleasure to your meal?

Monday, April 23, 2012

I believe that cooking is a big part of my enjoyment of the fueling process. I enjoy choosing recipes, prepping, and cooking. Probably because I've been cooking for at least 48 years, I'm not afraid of it or find it hard or onerous. I guess, best put, cooking extends my eating pleasure.

I agree. When I choose to eat out, my day is much more "bloated" even if I try to eat healthier at a restaurant. Plus, I know what's in the food I'm making at home.

If you don't cook, you can't control your own destiny. That's how I feel.

I'm definitely new to cooking and I'm finding that days where I cook my own meals are SO much more enjoyable than those were I heat up some frozen entree. Especially as a beginner, cooking brings me so much pride and I feel so accomplished. I love it.

I am right there with you! Since really overhauling our eating habits this January, I find that preparing the meals are as much fun as eating them!
