When do you buy new britches?!

Monday, April 23, 2012

Ok y'all, just for the heck of it, I pulled my britches down, w/o unzipping them first!! emoticon haha NO, no one was around, and not all the way down - just enough to see if they would go. And I wasnt in public. And I dont know what possessed me. Oh I know, I had my hands in my back pocket and they were just loose so I thought, I wonder just how loose? haha, Now I know!!

I am still having trouble getting over my hump, the hump on the scale that is. I go up and down, up and down, but I changed things up since last Thursday just by accident, honing in on it after I gave myself a little pep talk on Friday's Blog, and I think it is working. Anxious to see what the scale says about it here in a few more days.

I love that! The weight loss and the better health are definitely important parts of this success, but don't those little things, like not having to unzip those pants, just send you over the moon with pride? Way to go!!

Oh CONGRATS!!!!! It feels SO good when your pants don't fit anymore!!!!! When to change them?? NOW!!!!! Go get smaller pants that fit. Does wonders for your psyche!! I think it was last week that my size 10's were hanging on me and I got to 'graduate' to single digit pants - size 8!!! Nothing feels better. Go get smaller pants - it'll make your day!! WONDERFUL!!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I bought me some new ones but they are cotton spandex...I'm hoping they will shrink with me : ) so I won't have to buy any until I reach my goal. I do get the stare like I'm trying to bring spandex back...lol...but I don't get out too much so it's okay!

I think you deserve a new pair...no spandex : )

I have been having the same question - when to replace? My daughter told me the other day that the baggy jeans were making me look fatter than I am - and sunday at church when I wore a new, well fittiing pair of capris - a lot of people noticed my weight loss!!! So maybe buy one snug pair so people notice your hard work!!!

That's great about your pants getting to be too big! Since I have a closet full of different sizes due to all of my ups and downs, I just try on the next smaller size and when they fit comfortable and just move on down. Sounds like you are ready to at least try on the next size down. Congrats on that btw!

oh I am so with ou on the up and down up and down.

I think when you can pull your pants on and off wihtout zipping, specially if they are jeans.., you need new ones. I just had to convince myself of that and I am still fighting it. Got two whole pair and spent less than $20 for them both!

If your jeans are that big, even I am all for new ones!! can't wait until my jean do that! yippppeeee for you!

    Congrats on the NSV!
I buy new when I can't get the current ones to stay up anymore. My problem is the belly area so most of my jeans are loose until I sit down! emoticon

Well, since I only had one pair of pants to begin with, I bought a second pair when the first were riding uncomfortably low on my hips and I found myself tugging them up regularly. Ditto from the second pair to the third. Only the most recent time did I get multiple new pairs and suddenly I have one pair of jeans and one pair of dress pants that fit so comfortably I can't IMAGINE why I stuck with the old ones so long.

If money is an issue, some people have great success at used clothing stores.

Mine were that baggy and I kept them a few more months, took them to consignment and got two more pair the next size down. Those are baggy now. I like having two pair that fit, and getting rid of the rest as fast as possible.

Summer is coming soon, so you might just drag out your capris, see if they fit and if not dump all the too big cloths and get two or three that fit.

BTW, way to go!

I buy new britches when I absolutely can't keep the others up anymore. Sometimes it's kind of handy being able to just slip them down without unfastening...but when they really won't stay put anymore, it is definitely time for replacement!! LOL! And that is true for both under and outer! Hugs, Jeannie
