One Month & 16 pounds

One month down and 16 pounds lighter! I love it! I feel amazing and am motivated to keep up the work. Best part is that I feel better about the food I am eating, as I am eating healthier food.

I can't wait to see what next month brings! :)

You are on the right track giving up the Mtn Dew and sugar loaded up sugary drinks and using a smaller plate has helped me as well. Stick with your plan, it sounds great and your are getting results!

    It hasn't been easy, but I totally cut out my Mt. Dew habit. I could easily drink several a day, in addition to having several sugar loaded cups of coffee with creamer. I now drink black coffee with one splenda :) Plus, I have started drinking a ton of water. I know this has really helped the first few pounds come off.

I started tracking all of my food, made the switch to organic and have cut down on my meat consumption. I eat more tofu, quiona, beans etc. I limit my calories to around 1500 a day and I work out for at least an hour a day.

I use a smaller plate at dinner to serve my food on. Plus when I am making dinner, I drink a glass a water and do a few little exercises that I can get in.

Most of all, I'm keeping active more and thinking more about what I put in my mouth, keeping in mind that if I want more to eat, then I need to take in consideration how long it will take me to work it off etc.

I have a journal where I keep inspirational stories, pictures etc. I often thumb through this and it helps keep me going. Plus I love Spark People, I often turn here for motivation etc.

    Wow! That is a great result... What are you doing in order to lose 4 pounds per week. I can't seem to lose more than 2 pounds per week so I'd really like to know your secret!!!
