Back on track

Hey everyone! I know I've been kinda down lately, even when I have been on SparkPeople. I've had low energy, no motivation and a really bad attitude.

But I'm back! Last night I 'registered' for the "Spring in to Shape Bootcamp". I didn't do the exercise yesterday, but I wanted to be able to see the email in my inbox this morning so I would get started. I did the exercise for Day 2 and I'll finish the week on Sunday with Day 1. I couldn't believe how short and effective the video was! And they're ALL short!

I also got in 10 minutes of cardio, in the forms of jumping jacks, skipping and high-knee marching. It's not as structured as using my Turbo Jam dvd but I want to mix it up and do things that I don't need to be inside for all of the time.

I'm optimistic for the first time in a while. I've realized that I'm hovering at 200lbs. That's amazing considering that I started at 265lbs. That even amazing considering that at the beginning of December 2011(5 months ago) I was 215lbs! I lose pretty slow over the winter months, so I'm pretty happy!! Now I've got a plan and support to keep me on a four week streak.

I'm hoping to see results not only on the scale, but in my mindset as well. I need to learn to love exercise just a little more! It needs to become a habit, even if it means I need to keep joining a different challenge every four weeks until I'm repeating them!

I missed my weight in this morning, so weigh in will be tomorrow. I'm trying not to obsess, but I'm still having trouble with it. Hopefully seeing the numbers start down again will boost my confidence enough to get me away from the scale. Backwards thinking maybe, but who knows.


I'm starting to set myself goal/rewards! At 195lbs(70lbs lost) I'm going for a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and two tops. At 190lbs(75lbs lost) I'm going for a balance ball(I think that's what it's called) and a better resistance band. That's all I've got so far, but I REALLY want those things!

    I love those challenges! I often keep going after the 4 weeks, by starting over. They are short but really help! I do them in addition to my daily cardio.
