What crazy weather we're having around here. When it was winter time it felt like spring and now that it is spring it almost feels like winter.
Yesterday I got bored of staying at home so I did venture out in the rain and went to Harris Teeter for only a handful of things. I had to go to the Dollar Tree for some paint containers (I found some smaller containers that had a wide mouth and a screw on lid) for my husband and apparently I did okay since he liked them, LOL.
I'm trying to find cheaper alternatives for things and also found a pack of 3 fibercloth wash clothes there (for $1 of course) to use on our Swifter that I got either free or super cheap (can't remember which). That will save me having to purchase those expensive Swifter cloths instead and they fit perfectly and can be washed and reused.
I've been looking for organization tips on Pinterest for things that I have already on hand or can find super cheap at The Dollar Tree or Mighty Dollar or similar stores and found one that is while not earth shattering was something I had been trying to find a solution for. One was to put hair elastic bands on a carbiner and then you can put the carbiner on something to keep it from getting lost if you're traveling, etc.
I also went shopping at Ross Dress for Less and TJ Maxx hoping to find a cool container for my car trunk to keep green grocery bags and other car items in, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for so left empty handed. That's shopping for me, if I don't find exactly what I want at exactly the price range I'm looking for, it's really just "browsing" and not really shopping.
I did stop by Harris Teeter for a handful of items that were good deals since I was already out. I got more of the Healthy Choice dinners for around 65 cents each since my electronic coupons reloaded and HT is having super double coupons this week (until Tuesday).
I try to make stops at all stores in the area that could possibly have what I'm looking for so I'm taking advantage of the time/gas in one trip.
I stopped by Sam's Club as well (haven't been there in forever) and bought some of their new Member's Mark (Sam's Club brand) remanufactured ink cartridges that I had not seen before that ended up being $10 cheaper than the HP brand. That was the main reason I had to go out yesterday as we only had one printer cartridge left. I'm sure if they don't work well that Sam's Club will stand behind them and refund my money. Hopefully it will be a $10 gain in my pocket.
