MAX IS WRITING AGAIN.

Sunday, April 22, 2012

Hi everyone. First, thanks for all the neat comments on my pictures in Mommy's photo section. Glad so many of you are interested in me.

Mom just told me that tomorrow, April 23, is my 2 year birthday. What do cats do on birthdays? I don't remember my 1st birthday.

I am getting quite comfortable here with my new Mommy and Daddy. I seem to get into trouble when I get my claws in the screen on the porch. I try to get those lizards, but Mom said I can't use my claws. I use the scratcher in side but I made a mistake and scratched on Mom's closet door. I heard something about going to meet Dr. Gail this Thursday and staying there for 2 nights. Not sure I like what that may be about except Mommy said I wouldn't get into trouble any more if I tried to scratch anything with my front claws when I come home. She told me that her other kitties, Taffy and Thor went to the vet and didn't have any problems when they came home from there either. Mommy said she is not mad at me and is doing whatever she's doing because she loves me and wants me to be a happier inside kitty.
I trust what she says and won't worry about it.

I made Mommy really happy these past two nights when I slept right by her pillow. She even moved her pillow to the edge of the bed so I'd have more room to sleep by her. I leave in the night sometimes but come back to her again.

When Mommy got up from her chair in the living room today I jumped right up and took her chair over and wouldn't share it with her. She went and sat on the blue thing that's long and has three seats on it. I could have gone there, but I chose Mommy's chair instead. I also sometimes like to sleep on the foot stool in front of Daddy's chair . When I do that he puts his legs on each side of me and we share that space.

Well, that's about it for now. I'll write again when I have something to say. I don't believe in wasting my meows (words).

Love,
Max emoticon

Hi Max,

We are sorry to hear about your problem and visit to vet! We use a claw board and Mommie tells us NO when we scratch other things...well she is concerned about how we would defend ourselves if ever we did get outdoors...with no claws we couldn't climb a tree...or fight off an attacker...so we just try to not claw things we shouldn't cause it makes Mommie get onto us!

We are praying all goes well for you! Good to read your BLOG our new feline friend!!

WOW!! That stinks!! Why can't you scratch the door??? Man, you should see the couch my mommy has!! HAHA! I scratched that thing up ROYALLY!! Of course, I did it when mommy wasn't home ... boy was SHE surprised! I think it looks MUCH better now!! :D What's a lizard?? We don't have those at my house... just birds and squirrels and my sister and mommy. Oh, and this dog from across the street that thinks he owns my yard! Dumb dog! emoticon rule, emoticon drool!! HAHA!

Oh Max sounds like your claws have gotten you in a little trouble. It's really not a problem visiting the vet for that. I had it done. It really didn't slow me down much but I couldn't climb up mom's pants any more when I came home. She thinks that's a good thing. Now I get in trouble with my teeth sometimes but I am getting better about that.
Jasmine doesn't use her claws much. She is mostly not as adventurous as me and there for gets in trouble less. Me I kind of like living dangerously. I am glad she came to live her though. I have a full time playmate this way.

It's always good to hear from you Max, we love the updates. I know you don't like the thought of going to the doctor, but your mommy is right, that is best. I know she loves you.

Hey Max, it's Max here. Ananya says Hi too. Hope things go well at Dr. Gail. I know Thor saw her a lot and said she was nice so I don't think you need to worry about seeing her. On my birthday (my mom tells me when that is) I get an extra treat or two. I really like the ones called Greenies. They are supposed to help keep my teeth clean...I just know they taste good. Our weather is cool tonight so I think I will sleep with Daddy cause he likes warmer rooms than mommy.
Write when you can. We love hearing from you

    Max,

Glad you are setteling in and making yourself at home! All 3 of my kitties(Tasha, Sebastian and Dakota) were inside kitties and had thier front paws fixed too and they were very happy kitties and did not miss anything at all. So you will be ok too.
