My body is taking care of business, despite myself due to Bile Salts D

Getting regular exercise, there. emoticon
Eating healthy foods, got it! emoticon
Eating the correct portions, FAIL! emoticon

I have been struggling with this issue every day. I'm losing weight and inches but I'm super slow doing it and its all due to my huge portion sizes. I can measure but I'll be back for seconds!
I'm not starving, I just like to feel like I ate when I'm done eating. Portion sizes don't do that for me. I'm sure that at some point if I allowed my body to get used to portion sizes I would feel full but I just won't do it. Well my body has had enough.
I've been having issues the past year since I had my gallbladder removed. I eat, I'm in the bathroom. Some foods worse then others. I've been trying to pinpoint what is causing this but there is no constant.
Beano does not work, there are no foods that make it worse or better. Its really annoying! So off to the Internet again, this time I think I hit pay dirt!

Apparently the lack of a gallbladder can cause something called "Bile Salts Diarrhea" which can happen after the gall bladder is removed.
There is medication for it but I hate taking medication and would rather go a natural way if possible. I found a totally simple remedy at this site:

The post explains all the medical stuff for why the calcium helps.

Its calcium carbonate, a silly calcium pill! I have gotten it tweeked to half a 500 mg Equate (Walmart brand) calcium (oyster shell) with D, before I eat. So far the only time my stomach hurts is if I over eat! So the last few days, each meal has been portion sized, no seconds with no eating between meals, of anything! The thought of the stomach pain I feel if I eat more or between meals is keeping me on track for sure!

So we will see how this goes, I will probably start losing weight again since I won't be over eating. I will like that side effect very much!

Wow, so every bummer event does have a bit of a silver lining. Sorry you're having discomfort but at least it's helping you with portioning :-)
You really are doing great, you know! Two out of three is better than none at all!
