Yesterday, we booked our flights to Las Vegas, NV. Man, they are not shy about their airfares. We were debating whether or not we should wait a couple of more days to see if they would go down; but, I decided to go ahead and get the big items knocked out. We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for two nights. Then, we're off to Zion National Park to a resort called the Ponderosa for some outdoorsy fun. We'll return to Vegas for two more nights, and we'll fly out in the afternoon. So, this is a week get-a-way that kicks off our Summer fun.
There will be a lot of time spent at the pool; so, you know I've step up my workouts for the final six weeks. I've purchased a new DVD resource - George St. Pierre - RushFit! I just completed the first grueling workout. It's much harder than I was expecting; and I loved it! It's a very logical sequence and the philosophy that it is built upon is quite sensible. Here's what I looked like, post workout - I had cooled down for about 15 minutes. You can also see my front door, that I just had professionally finished out (along with my the front of my town home painted).
I also got up this morning and ran 2 miles in the rain at a decent pace. I figure that you can't go wrong with a little cardio to kick start your morning. Okay, I had coffee to kick start the morning... but, I ran shortly after that :-)
So, how much can I lose in the way of fat - and bulk in the way of muscle over the next six weeks? We shall see.
