Lower your heat at night
Use your ceiling fan 1st before turning to air conditioning
When you use air conditioning set at higher temperatures but use your ceiling fan to circulate the air, thus making it feel cooler

The Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) Mail Preference Service (MPS) lets you opt out of receiving unsolicited commercial mail from many national companies for five years. When you register with this service, your name will be put on a "delete" file and made available to direct-mail marketers and organizations. This will reduce most of your unsolicited mail. However, your registration will not stop mailings from organizations that do not use the DMA's Mail Preference Service. To register with DMA's Mail Preference Service, go to www.dmachoice.org, or mail your request with a $1 processing fee to:

Catalogs:
Call the company's 800 number and have the label handy.
Ask them to remove you.

    I did the DMA. thanks.

But I did not do the credit bureau one since they ask for your SS#.

It's an https site, but still not comfortable with it.

Thanks

Great! All good reminders. I run my dishwasher on the shortest cycle and air dry, at night.

Hope you took some time for yourself today. Boy, have you been busy.

    Love these!

I am proud to say I am doing a bunch of these! The one that makes me crazy is plastic bags. I struggle with getting my husband to use the canvas bags at the store, and he comes home with a zillion plastic bags. Then, I have to find a place that takes them back to recycle them because I could never re-use that many.

I heard California was banning them. I think every state needs to follow suit! Wouldn't that be great!

Have a great day,
Karen

These are great things to do. I try to do as much as I can. This year I'm going to start a compost bin at home for my garden. Happy Earth Day!
