Not with the Whole30. I have only three days left there and I'm still chugging along.
Yesterday I vegetated with a computer game, and so ended up sitting on my sofa in an awkward position for several hours. Well... when I say awkward for me, it's a pretty typical and comfortable position for most people. But most people don't have hypermobile ligaments in their backs which refuse to maintain proper alignment after hours of strain. Yeah. Your back hurts after sitting funky? Mine actually moves. Structural integrity fail.
I can't blame my back, though. Or my hips. Or my SI's. I knew I shouldn't sit like that, and I did it anyway, so now it's time to pay the piper. I haven't kept up with the physical therapy like I should have (but I did swim every day this week except Wednesday!), so it's naturally weaker than it ought to be, and the hip socket is really, really hurting where that tear is/was. I'm going to ice it and pop an NSAID for the morning and when I've earned a study break (seeing as I did NOTHING yesterday because I have no self control) I'll get down on the mat and try to whip it back into some kind of shape.
My mom thinks its so sore because of the weather. Pressure/temperature changes do affect how my joints feel, so she's not wrong, I don't think. It's needed to rain BAD for weeks. The grass our horses are grazing is poor, and the hay growers haven't had enough rain to get their hay crops to get tall enough to cut and bale. It's been wicked dry by Florida standards, and the pollen count has been insane. It rained a couple hours yesterday evening, and it's rained a while this morning as well. Major change in pressure, about a 15 degree drop in temperature (that's 15 Fahrenheit, in case I have any metric buddies reading.) I just know I screwed up, but it's not like I'm running any marathons what with the two papers and bajillion exams coming up this week...
