Paleo + Body By Vi

Paleo + Body By Vi shakes. That's what I'm starting tomorrow. The competition at the gym is a point based system. Add points for working out (not just crossfit workouts), eating right, taking one rest day a week, sleeping 7-8 hours, etc. Subtract points for unclean meals, less than 2 workouts a week, less than 5 meals a day, etc. We have to track all our foods, workouts & sleep and turn them into Jess at the gym every Tuesday by 8pm. Jess has said we can have the Body by Vi shakes with the diet.

We're going to do this for 45 days. I'm hoping this will help break whatever is going on that keeps my body at/around 157. It's a $20 buy in and whoever has the most points at the end of the 45 days, wins the pot. What do I have to lose?

I'm going to Bismarck, ND this weekend (right after my dental implant is finished Friday morning). One of my bridesmaids is graduating from grad school so I'm going to go and surprise her by coming to the party she has planned. It is a long drive, but getting your Master's is hard work. Sticking to our diet is going to be tough, but I'm going to do my best.

Examples of food we CAN eat on the Paleo diet:
Wild game (buffalo, venison, elk, moose, etc)
Wild fish (I won't be having this because I am allergic)
Lean beef
Lean pork
Chicken
Eggs
Vegetables (except potatoes & corn & other starchy ones)
Fruit
Sunflower seeds
Almonds
& more

Examples of food we CAN'T eat on the Paleo diet:
Candy :(
Dairy
Bread
Alcohol
Pop
Fruit juice (because most of them are mostly sugar)
Popcorn
Carb-laden foods
Stuff like that

  Finally, found someone that incorporates Body by Vi with Paleo. All I can find online is people hating on one or the other and not doing both together. I did the Body by Vi challenge and lost 35lbs. Getting ready to do a second challenge now. I have learned to just shut out haters and people who have a strong dis-taste for the product without ever trying it. Until someone actually tries it and gives it a fair shot, they are not worth listening to. Good luck on the program!

    Hey thats good to know, i just started body by Vi a week and half ago, and am becoming very interested in eating paleo and i was curious about the shakes fitting in with that being that they are soy based. I couldnt really find any info on the net about it. :) All the best!

    Oh my, that sounds strict. You can do it though. I bet by the end of 45 days you feel wonderful and I bet you break your plateau. Have a fun trip! Be safe.
