I'm really starting to love my calendar. I think it's because I am adding more stars each day. I officially started it on Tuesday, and had to backtrack and add stars for the prior days in the month. But as the week has progressed, I have added more stars. I don't know if I am doing well because of the stars, or I do well to get more stars, but whatever it is, it's working. I have silver stars as well, and I am trying to figure out what I can use them for. I want them to be meaningful though.
My friend RISENPHOENIX has a success wall in her room that is full of stars she pulls off when she loses pounds. I love the idea, and I am thinking about stealing it, but I can't decide if I want to pull off stars or put them on thars (Dr. Seuss reference). Pulling them off would make my partner happier, I think, because then the star wall would not be a permanent fixture. But I like plentiful visuals and adding stars for pounds lost could make me go "Wow!, look what I've done!" Since I am a teacher, it would be super easy to go punch out 110 three-inch paper stars (one for every pound) using the die cut machine. I can also mount them to butcher paper to keep them off the wall. Any thoughts on adding or subtracting stars for weight loss? Which is better? Please comment! Inquiring minds want to know!
Here's my calendar updated with today's foil stars. As you can see, I earned all of my stars today. Yay! Go me!
