8 days ago I suffered a setback. I injured my back and ribs while performing the spring opening of my hot tub and then came down with a nasty cold and lost my voice for 3 days. The only thing missing was a plague of locusts...lol.
As a result, I have been unable to exercise and struggling to keep my eating in check. As of today, my back and rib pain has been greatly reduced and my cold symptoms are down to a cough ( mostly at night).
I will start back walking tomorrow with 1 mile and hopefully be back at my usual 4 miles per day within 7 days.
It's a good thing i've made a lifestyle change instead of just dieting...my track record in restarting diets after a setback like this wasn't so good..but since I started spark 16 months ago, I have been able to resume healthy eating and exercise 3 other times after illness/injury setbacks.
As my my spark friend Dave says " we're in it for the finish "
