Returning to Spark

I have been away from spark for the past year or two, only popping back briefly to give things another go, only to quickly disappear again. Since being here in 2009 and losing 100+lbs I have lost a grip on things. I gained back 50+lbs and I still can't find my rhythm with losing weight again. However I'm not depressed about it, it is what it is and although I wish that I hadn't let my weight creep up so much there is only one thing I can do about it now and that's keep trying!

Today was my first day of tracking my foods (again) and there are only ten days left of this month. So my goal for myself is to track all foods, whether in calorie range or not, for the next 10 days. Then I'll have a think about how I want to continue.

I have realised that Spark used to give me huge focus and motivation, plus it is such a great tracking site and I think I want to really come back this time. Any old spark friends that remember me please drop by my page and say hello and let me know how you're getting on!

    Welcome back! I lost 47lbs on spark between 2009-2010 and slowly let the weight creep back on myself. I just started back again in April too. It happens. The important part is to not let it get you down.

    Hello my sweet friend! I am SO glad you are back!! I just returned last week as well. I have missed you so much and think of you often. I too am starting over - I gained back all of the 62 pounds I lost. BOOO! But I have a new reason to be motivated... hubby wants a baby. Badly. I have to lose weight before they will even consider me for the surgery to get my tubes untied, so here I am! I've lost 10 since last Monday so that was certainly the encouragement I needed to get this thing going again! SO SO SO glad you are back!!! Keep in touch ok!! We CAN do this!!! XOXOXO

    emoticon Back!!!!!! I need to get back on track too. I lost 25 pounds and kept it off for a year but lately I have been bingeing again and clothes are getting too tight emoticon . WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!! emoticon

    I just came back too. I lost 30 lbs, never did get down to my original goal weight, that would have been another 15. I decided to maintain for a while, and did for a year. Then gained back 10, got back on here,and lost that 10, then quit for the holidays and gained back 15. So here I am again, planning on losing that 15 plus the extra 15 to get to my original goal weight. You can do this, we can do this together!

    Sounds like we are in the exact same boat, so I added you as a SparkFriend. Maybe we can help motivate each other! I lost 90 pounds through SparkPeople, but have gained 50 of it back since August. The past month or so, I'd been making some haphazard attempts at exercising or cutting back on my eating, but it wasn't enough. I really need the trackers and support I get from SparkPeople to make real progress. So I came back this past Wednesday and started tracking my food and workouts again. I'm already seeing results on the scale, so I think you've made the right choice to come back here.

    Great to see you back. I was on a 19month plateau and am finally getting rid of fat again.

    I found the 10 minute strength training Sperkpeople videos were what helped me to kickstart my body into losing weight again!

    Hi, I remember you - welcome back. Sometimes that is the hardest thing to do is come back and get after it again. I did the same thing recently and started back to WW too. It's been two weeks and so far so good - weight is creeping off and I am eating better again - funny how I trick myself into eating well when I want to be accountable and so poorly when I fall off the wagon. So for now I am giving it time and attention and I'll see what happens. Today I know I am better off than two weeks ago and I'll just keep moving on from here. Glad you're back!
