Awesome! Since joining SP on March 1st, I have lost 12.5 pounds. That's only 7 weeks! Despite all my slip-ups, despite letting myself run free on the weekends, and still in spite of not exercising NEARLY as much as I should, I've averaged a loss of almost 2 pounds per week.
I am reforming my eating habits. I notice my cravings are changing. Buttered saltines don't taste all that great when I must have something salty; I want almonds, or carrots with a little salad dressing. I can think about ice cream and not drool anymore, and if I want it that bad, I am satisfied with a cup of Greek yogurt. I get antsy without veggies and fruit at every meal, and Coca-Cola is no longer something I must consume as much of as possible when I am allowed it (but it still is really good, I have to confess). For the most part, I've cut out caffeine; I don't need my morning coffee anymore to be able to function.
I did start telling myself that 12.5 out of 70 pounds to lose isn't that much, but then I did the math. Almost 18% of the way there. Not too shabby, and in all honesty, pretty painless. So I had to call BS on myself, and it felt good. I'm also learning to be supportive of myself.
All these changes in less than 2 months!
