I still have 5 lbs. to get to my goal for the spring challenge which ends May 12th. This is totally possible, but it will require me to be disciplined and get serious about my efforts. My body is very stubborn and likes staying right where it is~I can stay on a plateau for a LONG time! I think I need to make a couple changes to be successful.
I have been tracking pretty faithfully since the first of the year and what I have found is that my carbs are usually above the recommended 50%. I typically eat healthy carbs such as oatmeal, whole wheat pastas/breads, beans and fruit, but it still adds up to too many carbs. I am going to have to cut back a little and add more veggies and protein.
Also, I think I need to increase my workout time. I usually do 30-45 min. 6 days a week with mixed variety/intensity. I like the quicker workouts, but it's time to step it up!
I WILL get there! I just have to stay focused and committed to my healthy lifestyle!
