"Before" Pictures

Thursday, April 19, 2012

For some reason I can seem to upload photos to my Sparkpage, but I can to my blog. So here goes.

This is the photo that made me want to either drown myself or kill my sister-in-law (who I truly adore) for posting it on facebook:
I'm the one all the way over on the left blissfully unaware how unflattering that bathing suit is.

And I took this photo the other day with the intention of making it my official "Before" picture, because for the first time in a long time, I am confident that there's going to be an "After."

My "before" picture is also something posted to Facebook. Eek! To this day I have it set so that people can't see my tagged photos from my page.

You absolutely will have after pictures!

LuluBelle, I live in a mostly body-free world, too...which is why it's so jarring when it shows up there on somebody else's facebook page!

But I want to accept myself for who I am today, and you know, I'm a big girl and that's okay today. Because I'm going somewhere and someday I'll look back at this picture and I'll be excited to see my progress. That's the hope, anyway!

My sister-in-law, all 107 pounds of her, would be floating dead in the ocean if she posted a picture of me in a swimsuit on Facebook. Actually, any picture. I live in a body-free world, where all people see is my pretty face, because, you know, if it's not on Facebook it never really happened.

I am so impressed that you willingly took a full body before shot. I am going to have to get up the courage to do that one of these days.
