Did you know that? Running kills stress. Better than sleep. Better than chocolate. Maybe better than sex. (And only cuz I have a hard time getting in the "mood" when I'm stressed)
Picture this: Tuesday, light drizzle, me lying on the couch, feeling sorry for myself & depressed. Knowing I should go for a run but can't quite haul my tush out the door. Wednesday, stress, stress, grumpy, grumpy.....run 3.5 miles .........bliss. No more stress. No more grumpy. I woke up feeling happy and healthy, not fat and tired.
In my head, I have always known this. I am a terrible at "sticking with it" when it comes to running. I do well for up to 6 weeks, then I quit. Maybe this time I can "stick with it" longer. There really is no excuse, I'm just lazy!!
At least I still have a body that responds to this bad behaviour - need to lose a bit of weight - I just run for a few weeks & off it comes. I wonder though, if I kept running, would I actually hit any of my goals.....? Sigh.
