Day 140 Accountability blog - Painful day...

My new goals:

1- Exercise 6 days per week, including running 3 times a week and crosstraining 3 times a week.
2- Track my food. Max 1830 calories.
3- 5 fruits/veggies per day.
4- 8 cups of water, calcium supplement and multi-vitamin daily.
5- 8 hours of sleep every night. Be in bed by 10pm.
6- Meditation 3 times a day for 10 minutes.
7- Reading and soul searching, 30 minutes per day.
8- Continue writing my blog daily.

I had planned a slow day today since I ran my best run ever yesterday. Especially since lately I've been having lower back pain, and when I finished my run yesterday I was in quite a bit of pain. I stretched well last night, but the pain is still there and worst. It's a pinching, radiating kind of pain... I tried everything today, stretching, heat, cold, taking a nap, medication, a massage, nothing is working... As much as I hate going to the doctor, I have a painful feeling it may the next step...

Anyways, I'm late with my blog tonight because I am waiting for my friend to get to my house. I haven't seen her since last summer and she is coming into town for the weekend. She should be here in about 20 minutes. It's going to be a late night but it's worth it.

Here are my goals for today:

1- Exercise 6 days per week, including running 3 times a week and crosstraining 3 times a week: I took a slooooww 30 minute walk and did a good 30 minutes of stretching today.
2- Track my food. Max 1830 calories: I tracked and stopped counting at 1787 cals... before dinner... Definitely went over for today!
3- 5 fruits/veggies per day: hmmm...nope, 1 of each only...
4- 8 cups of water, calcium supplement and multi-vitamin daily: done and done!
5- 8 hours of sleep every night. Be in bed by 10pm: no and no...
6- Meditation 3 times a day for 10 minutes: meditated once...
7- Reading and soul searching, 30 minutes per day: not really...
8- Continue writing my blog daily: done.

Okay I am doing TERRIBLE with my goals these days... What's up with that?!!!

    Hope you're feeling better from your back real soon! Sounds like you could use some gentle but firm stretching - wish you were here so I could help with the pain.

    Good idea to get the back checked. I had pain radiating down both legs and into groin. Went to chiropractor and she knew right away it was my hip. Gave me a stretching exercise and fixed it up. Maybe worth a look.

    When you don't feel good, it's more difficult to stay on track. Have you tried a chiropractor for your back pain? Enjoy your visit with your friend!
