Dick Clark RIP

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

Good Day Sparkfam!

Its a Hump Day today & how appropriate that the rockinest hippest happiest TJ (Television Jockey) has passed away today. I used to love to watch him on American Bandstand & always on the New Year's Eve ball drop. He was an Icon in his own right. So I send prayers & blessings to his family......RIP.

Today I want you to still dance like nobody is watching......

God bless & enjoy everyday!

Dick Clark was a big part of my history. Used to watch American Bandstand everyday when I got home from school.....started watching it at a very young age....was influenced by my young Aunts (they were in Junior High and High School). Watched the entire transition of American Bandstand from Philadelphia to California. He was one of those celebrities who never aged and will sadly be missed by everyone. Thanks for the great tribute to him.

Sad I remember seeing him on American bandstand every saturday along with the emoticon SOUL TRAIN. Both Don and he are gone. Some day we will have to face that too. I am glad that I got my soul train ticket. Get it SOUL train ticket?? Jesus got um ready for the asking.

So sad to hear this! My mom ran home after school every day to watch American Bandstand, she and her girl friends would dance up a storm! Then as I was growing up, I watched it also! I can still remember the Mommas & Poppas, and New Dimension!

He was an era! emoticon

I remember seeing American Bandstand with him, then listening him do the top 40 and rock'n new years eve.
He was the man that never got old and then Ba'am he had that stroke and really went down hill fast. Your right he is an ICON, hope he is resting in peace!

I am really going to miss him. Funny to say, how long has it been that we've really seen him, but I grew up with him, I was one of the kids in the living room dancing around to American Bandstand and wishing ever so much I could be there!
