Sugary Drinks and Junk Food Oh My!

I was invited to spend the night at a friends house who I have not seen in quite awhile. We had a great time, we watched movies, did each others nails and caught up on our lives! This friend of mine has a three year old son. So you can image her cupboards are full of kids snacks and sugary drinks and junk food. Her son was at his Father's house for the night so we ended up indulging in those types of foods. I felt horrible while I was doing it and I knew that eating like that was going against my healthy eating. But as we all know today is a new day so today I am making a fresh start. I started off this morning by eating a healthy breakfast and this afternoon I am eating a healthy lunch with veggies and healthy protein.


VERY IMPORTANT: Also, last week I was adding Mio Liquid flavoring to my water. Does anyone know if the Mio Liquid has a lot of sugar in it because it makes your water tastes sweeter.

  I don't think there is any sugar in Mio Liquids. We all have set backs from time to time. Hang in there and celebrate the new day!

    Weird....I just saw a commercial for Mio! I'm not sure what's in it. I like to use lemons to flavor my water, and once had cucumber-infused water that my hairdresser offered and it was actually pretty good!

    Remember it's what you do MOST of the time that matters! This is for life so expecting perfection is just setting yourself up for failure - you had a blip but you're back on track already - That's wonderful! Focus on the GOOD you have done and congratulate yourself xx

  I think that your blanket statement "So you can image her cupboards are full of kids snacks and sugary drinks and junk food." is as I said, blanket. I dare you to find junk food at my house and sugary ones at that! Perhaps, this particular individual does it, but not all parents are like that. That goes for any judgement; who are we to pass it?

With that said, today is a new day for food and food for thoughts.

ETA: you can use herbal and fruity teas to flavor water. sugar-free and cheaper especially if you use your own bottle.

    Not sure about the Mio liquid - I drink water just as water.... As for your little mess up the important thing is you were aware and now you are acting. We all do it once in awhile we just need to get it out of our systems and then continue on. Way to go!
