Doughnut

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

I ate a doughnut today. Just one glazed doughnut. I do not feel guilty. I feel satisfied. I have wanted just one doughnut for several weeks now, but never saw singles for sale. The Walmart near my house no longer sells single doughnuts. For the first time, I realized Kroger does. While at Kroger this morning, I saw doughnuts. Single doughnuts for sale. I didn't see the glazed doughnuts, but when I bent down to look, there were six. Now there are five. Now, I am satisfied and not looking around for something to soothe the craving. It has been several weeks and the craving did not go away. Now, it is satisfied. I am satisfied. The best empty calories I have eaten in a very long time.

Sometimes you just have to say YES to the "bad" stuff. My latest weakness has been caramel corn. Good for you!

There is no forbidden food in a satisfying life. There are foods we eat rarely. When we eat them we track them and have them fit in our plan and move on. emoticon emoticon
