Planning fun school events

One of our assistant principals (who is a fairly good friend of mine) sent out an email to all faculty and staff, with the guidelines for our school's pre-Carnival parade on Friday. Yup, we're having a parade. In the afternoon. All around school. Then a faculty vs. students volleyball game. Controlled craziness.
Anyway, the email said students could wear jeans and a solid colored T shirt (instead of our school uniform), plus any headdress from a previous Carnival costume. Imagine tall feathery and glittered up things - those are the headdresses. We're not talking a little tiara here, we're talking CARNIVAL, baby!!!!!!
So I emailed back that it was too bad I had just mailed off my wedding dress, train, and veil, I could have worn that on Friday for the parade.
She emailed back that I was a hot mess, LOL!!!!!
We crack ourselves up!
Seriously, though, I've always said that I could get a white or silvery bathing suit, attach the wedding dress train, add the veil and maybe a tiara, and it would be a perfect Carnival costume!
Of course, I'm personally not ready to march down Main Street in a swimsuit, but that's beside the point!
