April 17th and all is well

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day with the sunshine and being able to sit out on the deck for a few minutes after work. Definitely needed your jacket on, but so nice to sit in the sun.

Very busy day at work, lots of receiving of new material to do as well as working on the Hayes stuff. Hope to be finished with that this week. I have a meeting tomorrow morning to go over my final draft and will find out if it is actually my "final" draft *grin*.

My kefir grains still have not arrived, I'm hoping that they arrive today. I'm anxious to get them started.

We have a meeting with a financial planner scheduled for this evening. Hope we can come away from it with some solid direction and information. I'm sure anything we learn will be of benefit. Hopefully some of the information we will be able to pass along to our kids also. The times of being able to depend on old age pensions etc are something that are iffy for my generation and unlikely for my kids. Just another reason why we need to change our way of thinking and get back to basics and becoming more self-sufficient. More incentive to also become the healthiest that we can possibly be through exercise and eating healthy.

My positives:
A beautiful day of sunshine yesterday and more expected this week.
Got to spend a few minutes out on the deck yesterday after work.
Family night in the works for this Friday night....apparently it is "bowling" on the agenda.
Blessed with life, love, family and friends.

Have a great day,

Sounds like a terrific day! I wish it were cooler here. The humidity has been sky high. Love your idea of family night bowling!
