In January I had hoped to have reached my goal by now. The reality is I am at pretty much the same place as I was then. The positive to that is that I maintained, not gained. I had my surgery on my wrist in Feb. and am finally out of the splint and within 2 weeks of the surgery I was off of all the pain meds. It is so nice to finally be off the pain meds especially after having been on one prescription pain med or another for the last 3 years. Being out of the splint means that I have no more excuses to not work out and I have to get my butt in gear. I also have been mindlessly eating, which I really need to get under control. I feel crappy when I do it and then keep doing it because I already feel crappy. I started today out tracking and doing well but then got bored this afternoon and started noshing. I also have to get back into some sort of schedule now that I can return to work, although it will be a gradual return. The oldest 2 kids are starting soccer this week and doing cross country so my afternoons and evenings are going to be busy with practices and driving. This means I really have to get as much work done during the day as I can. I know I can do it, it's just a matter of getting into the habit again and just doing it!
- Cardio 4 times a week.
- Strength training at least twice a week.
- Get a work schedule going and stick to it.
- Take time weekly for myself.
- Stop mindless eating.
- Blog weekly.
Thanks to all my sparkfriends who continue to encourage me even when I am not that active here. I do try to stop by and encourage those that I can as well.
