Dear Future Me…
Sunday, April 15, 2012
For waking up every morning and being mindful that each and every day is a gift to be appreciated and enjoyed. Even if I needed to remind myself over and over some days.
For never forgetting that I am worthy and deserve all the blessings in my life. Yes, it’s okay to be happy and rejoice it in.
For making a better choice every time I chose poorly.
For forgiving myself enough times that I finally know its okay to make mistakes and if I learn from them then I am making progress.
For never quitting even when I questioned my progress or lack there of!!!
...continue to remember that today is a new day to make a difference, not only in my life but in the lives of everyone who knows and loves me.
I promise not to waste precious time fretting about yesterday or worrying about tomorrow. I know today is all we have and its long enough to do the very best for myself and short enough to be able to get through no matter how complicated it may be. I’ll remember challenges are part of life so I’ll enjoy the lovely gift God has given us and believe that tomorrow will bring sunshine and hope for renewed progress if I find myself in doubt.
I promise to remember that attitude and outlook are far more important than the scale. So I’ll continue to look to other benchmarks… renewed health, stamina, and strength. I promise to be the Spark that ignites others and continue to strive to be the conduit that channels the optimism for all because that’s what makes me truly happy.
“Listen, can you hear it? Spring's sweet cantata. The strains of grass pushing through the snow. The song of buds swelling on the vine. The tender timpani of a baby robin's heart. Spring.”~ Diane Froloy & Andrew Schneider
Ahhhh, Spring… a time to bloom.
