Well, after being totally burned out on running, I think I am now over my running blues. The Jeff Galloway team has helped. Running at some time other than the early morning has helped. I'm doing run/walk intervals, but I think I'm actually running faster overall.
What is helping me is the lack of leg pain and the fact that I am not paying attention to how fast or far I am going. Also, I am having fun being outside.
I'll know for sure when I cross that finish line at my 5k in May. If I feel energized, then I've got the right attitude. If I feel crushed, then I know I still need to work on running for fun.
