Accountability Blog Day 24

Sunday, April 15, 2012

April Goals:

Physical Goals: 1) Cut coffee to 4 cups per day
2) measure food portions
3) track food and stay within 1700 - 2050

Exercise:
1) C25K Mon Wed Fri
2) Bike Tue Thu Sat
3) Stretching Mon to Sat
4) Sit Ups & Push Ups Mon to Fri

Mental Goals : Gardening Study 1 Hour per day

Spiritual Goals: 1) Meditate 20 min per day
2) Pray morning and night

How I Did:

Physical Goals:

1) emoticonNot so good with the coffee. Two meetings last night and well........

2) emoticonMostly measured everything so I gave it to me.

3) emoticonDid real good all day and this eating machine came back from the meetings. Sure I went over for the day.

Exercise Goals:

1) emoticonWell I didn't get on the bike but I did a lot all day but nope no bike.

2) emoticonStretching is a big YES. Feels good to get back to stretching.

3) emoticonP/U and crunches done along with weights and heavy yardwork.

Mental Goals:

1) emoticonI am giving me this. I didn't study the course but I did google stuff about flowers I transplanted so I did study.

Spiritual Goals:

1) emoticonDid my meditation today and it was good. Very relaxing.

2) emoticonPrayed when I got up and when I went to bed. Friend of mine told me she prays all day and I do that. Not prayer more like conversations. One thing I try to say many times is "Thy will not mine be done". Keeps me out of trouble.

Well today had good points and some very bad ones. Food was good and then got bad. New goal will have to be no snacking at night. Boredom is my downfall.

I didn't get on the bike today and I feel bad but I did get a cardio work out. I have 3 piles. Loam , Compost and manure. I used the wheel barrow filled it up going from one pile to another mixing up all three. Then I wheeled this to my flower beds the closest at least 100 yards away. I did that 12 times I think. For me it was a workout. I didn't do the bike but not entirely guilty about it.

All in all I am glad this isn't a race. For those of you who consistently read this and offer support and encouragement I thank you. It means a great deal.

Nice Day Thing! yes, i would have to say that my communication with God would be more of a conversation too. most folks would say i was crazy for that statement, but hey, whatever! haha.

You sure do go to a lot of meetings for a retired guy. may i ask what you meet about? its okay if you say no. (some how, some way, i will live with out the answer if i have to!)

    Peter,

I would definitely say you had a very active day! No need to feel sorry about not biking. You got a great cardio workout - maybe more so than a bike ride! Great job.

Yes...thank goodness it's not a race, and there is no test or paper due!! I love your goals. I would love to see your garden. We are getting ready for ours, and it is small by comparison I'm sure. I am a barista at a coffee shop, and I bring home a bucket of coffee grounds when I work and sprinkle it around the garden. It always looks so rich and dirty!! We are big on zucchini and tomatoes. We freeze them for the winter for soup and sauce...it's yummy! emoticon

Great job doing your stretches and meditation! I'm glad they make you feel good! I agree with you, working in the garden is a great workout, in fact I hope you tracked it in your fitness tracker! You continue to do great, one day at the time!
