Why Am i going UP instead of down?

Got weighed today +1lb measured gained cm I don't know why.
I was away from home last week and everyday i had OJ 1 slice grilled bacon poached egg beans mushrooms nothing fried no bread and a yogurt
lunch a roll with meat and salad.dinner porridge plus assorted fruit and raw veg I walked nearly 20 miles in the week even struggled to use stairs most of the time.
No junk food at all and what happened i gained weight and inches on my waist hips thighs
Other than that i had a good week only one hiccup i had a panic attack on thursday so went back to b&b andmwent to sleep.the rest of the week was ok.
I arrived home at 4 yesterday and had all the laundry done and dry by 8pm caught up on the local news and prepared for going away agin on Tue
Today i am going into the garden as the blessed dandilions have took over the lawn,my compost arrived while i was away so can get potting done for the charity plants ready for next months fundraiser.
I made a decision to finish all the work regarding the homeless projects at the end of the year as I am getting so fatigued and they are not getting my full attention.I only have 2 to see and JJ down here I am not taking anymore clients Last week i handed over a couple of guys to the agencies as they needed more regular contact than i can give but will still meet up with them occassionally.
I want to do more fundraising for the charities that i support which will help keep schemes running as the local councils in some areas do very little as the government cut funding the homeless and needy services are the first to feel it.
I am not letting my little glitch worry me but am going to make a bigger effort to track everything down to the last grape.
Ian is still off work as he is a slow healer so we are having another few days away this next week he can go train spotting while i catch up with the guys.He is feeling a little down at the moment so I need to support him while he is going through this problem He has been there for me over the last 12 yr.JJ is doing well though at times I have to kick ass to get him motivated.he sits up watching tv late so doesnt get up very early I need to get him into a routine and find things to keep him busy.
Anyway the sun is shining and the garden calls Love you all Carol emoticon

  I believe your weight gain could be due to water retention as some of the foods you mentioned were high in salt.Just keep following your regular eating plan and I am pretty sure the gain will be gone soon enough. emoticon

    I LOVE YOUR BLOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AGREE THAT IS PROBABLY WATER RETAITION. SOMETIMES NOT EATING ENOUGH WILL CAUSE A GAIN. IT WILL TURN AROUND. I ENVY YOU GETTING TO TRAVEL. YOU MAKE TIRED READING EVERYTHING YOU DO.     Hi
I didnt lose this week either didnt gain but no lose and lv worked really hard with my excercise buring an extra nearly 2000 calories to what l would usualy burn.
My food intake was all ok, lm just utting it down to bein gone of those horrible weeks when things dont go quite my way.
The way l look at it is that as lv been good everything will catch up with me soon the same as it would if l had been bad and eaten allt he wrong foods.

    I think men in general take longer to heal than us women and really do need a kick up the butt to get motivated again...they need some kind of routine and jobs to do otherwise they give themselves over to the sofa and the tv permenently!!

How frustrating for you to have eaten so well calorie wise and to have had a gain on the scale AND the tapemeasure. I think you have to put it down to water retention...maybe from high salt content as bacon, beans and if the meat you had on your roll was processed then then that too are all very high in salt content. And if your breakfast was cooked in the B&B then you don't know how much salt they added to the cooking of the egg and mushrooms. Even so, if it is water retention it will sort itself out within a week so just be patient.

    I got on the scale this morning and was up 2 pounds from yesterday and 4 for the week. I am frustrated as well. I am eating way less than I used to and exercising every day too.
