100 Spark Days

Today is a great day! I'm celebrating my 100th day back on SparkPeople. And I can say proudly that so far I've been really consistent. I'm actually impressed with myself. Of course, some weeks have been better than others, but I've never let a bad meal, bad evening or a lazy night throw me off track. I was back on it the next day.
I can see a direct correlation on my efforts vs my results. When I'm really doing all I have to do perfectly, I get amazing results. When I'm more on the lazy side, food wise or exercise wise, results are smaller. I know it won't be like that forever, I'll probably hit plateaus like many of you did and I need to keep that in mind, so I won't get discouraged.
In 100 days, I've lost a little more than 20 pounds (my weigh-in is tomorrow), 4 inches at my waist and at my hips, but more importantly, I've met inspiring people, I've learn about nutrition and fitness and I've changed my vision.
Up until now, I've never been an active person. So when I envisioned myself thinner, I was not necessarily fit, I was just smaller. I now know that I want to be fit. I want to be strong and able to do whatever I want. I don't want to be an athlete, but just a toned and fit girl. You know, one of those girls you see in the street and you think: wow, she's hot and she knows how to take care of herself.
I've celebrate this milestone by spending my day with two of my sisters, cooking big batches of healthy food. We made:
Vegetarian chili (Chef Meg's slow cooker recipe)
Cacciatore chicken (in another slow cooker (actually 2 because we doubled the recipe)
Cream-cheese sauce pork tenderloin (in yet another slow cooker)
Parsnip, pear and potatoes puree soup
Banana yogurt muffins
Cinnamon and raisins bread (in my bread-maker over)
While the 4 slow-cookers where doing what they do best (cooking tender and flavour-full meal) we went for a walk in a near by park for 45 minutes.
Ok, maybe the pork tenderloin isn't all that healthy, but lately, I've been having a hard time eating enough calories, and we used light cream-cheese).
Tomorrow I'll take my official measurements and I'll weigh myself and keep you posted and the results of the second week with the Green Grasshoppers (in a BLC challenge)
