Awww ... it's Saturday!

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Good morning! I'm up and moving, waiting to head out to the follow up appointment for my eyes this morning. My vision is still considerably blurry this morning but I am already amazed at what I can see in the distance. I can't WAIT to be all healed up and able to SEE! Woohoo ....

I am delighted I don't feel alot of after effects from the long run yesterday! Nothing is hurting although my body from the waist down is a little sore. I'm not too sure how helpful it was to spend 12 hours in bed but either way it works! I was looking at mileage for this next week ... the runs are 10, 5, 3 ... I can do that! Hard to believe the race is 5 weeks from today! When we started dreaming it about running it, it seemed like it would never get here!

Committing to something this BIG in my world has been huge for me! It has caused me to have to stretch out beyond what I believe I am capable of and keep reaching for things ... goals ... that I would have said were impossible ... but here I am. And for those of you who say I am blessed to be sharing this journey with my husband, I know that is TRUTH! Doing things like this together keeps us moving in the same direction and being impressed with and encouraged by each other, which makes our marriage that much richer ... I love it!

Life isn't about big huge events that blow you away ... not in my thought process anyways ... for me, it's about those little things that catch you by surprise and squeeze your heart. It's about being willing to grow beyond what you already know and are GOOD at to chase the impossible-ness of what might be. And it's not about running ... or skiing ... or seeing ... it's about living YOUR life in the place that you are healthy, happy and continually looking for something new to challenge you to grow!

Have a great weekend ... Hugs, Eda

I'm with Kaye...you were a motivational speaker in another life or it's what you were meant to be in this one....

You've never been a glass slipper wearing princess...You have too much stuff to do to wear glass slippers!!! They would hinder lots more than your running...and I love that post!!

Have a great Saturday - I can't wait to hear what you can see!!! Hugs.

You are doing so good, Eda! Just think about it - our bodies regenerate new cells all the time and during this weight loss journey your organs have all been renewed to fit the new "life style" that yoi have been so diligently working on to bring a healthy body up to par to meet the committments that your new brain has established for you. Think aboout it and all the communication that is going on to keep this in good order. WooHoo! Great work. Just think if you included chia seed in your diet.
