Promise of God Highlight from Daily Reading...

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Reading through the Bible in a Year using a Yearly Daily Bible, am reading portions in Deuteronomy and Luke, with alternating days reading portions from the Psalms and Proverbs, it is a great way to read through the Bible in a year, my daily Bible also has a Daily Promise of God highlighted from the scripture reading of the day!

Daily Bible Reading:

Deuterononmy 32:23-to Chapter 33:1-29; Luke 11:37-54; Psalm 69:1-9

Friday's Promise of God Highlight:

"Their rock is not like our Rock" Deuterononmy 32:31

Moses likened God to a Rock (notice the capital R) strong, firm, and unchanging. Other religions might have "small r-rocks", but they just don't compare to ours. Why not? Because our Rock is the one and only Creator Genesis 1:10, Sustainer Romans 11:36) and Savior Acts 4:11-12) Best of all, He knows everything about us and loves us just the same Romans 5:8).

Oh, Jesus is the Rock in a weary land,
a weary land, a weary land,
Oh, Jesus is the Rock in a weary land,
A shelter in the time of a storm!

Yes, He's the only One who loves us unconditionally and nothing we can do or not do changes His love for us! God is love! He can be trusted with our love! We don't have to worry that He will reject us! He truly is our Rock!
