Time to quit

Friday, April 13, 2012

Tomorrow I begin a program to quit chewing. After 29 years it is time. Wanted to wait until I had me eating under control. I had heard that when you quit you eat more. I now track everything so I'm confident that I'll be alright there. The company I work for pays for everything, which is really nice. My health coach said that once I quit my metabolism will slow down. She said nicotine elevates your metabolism. Oh well I guess I'll do more exercise.

Glad you've made the decision to stop. Having your employer take care of the costs of the program makes it a no-brainer to work on quitting.

I have heard that nicotine is one of the most difficult addictions to get over. emoticon My brother chewed when he pitched little league. The dentist found some white pre-cancerous areas, and he was scared into quitting. He hadn't been chewing long. I am glad you have made the decision to preserve the quality of your health. You have the tools and you have many who support you.
I wish you the best as you pursue your chosen life goals. emoticon
