4/13 much needed rest day

Friday, April 13, 2012

well this sure has been one busy week! so I'm taking the day off - no running today - I had a dinner meeting after work tonight and it went til 9 pm - it was a ok event - I'm just not good at mixing and mingling, but I did it. hoping it pays off even a little bit as it was for work. my boss hates those things and I really don't mind them so I do it - good thing I do love my job! haha

no running tonight - I usually take friday's off because I have a race on saturday - but this weekend I don't have a race - but I will run some miles tomorrow - not sure how many yet - I need 4 miles to complete my week and even catch up for the 3 miles I was short last week - so I would love to do 6 to be ahead of the game for next week - but we'll see how the weather is and how I feel - it has been a good but long week. I was tossing around the idea of sticking to 6 miles a day - but after 2 days of that I did drop back to just 5 a day - so I'm thinking perhaps I'll mix it up a bit - I like the idea of running a few extra miles here and there when I can fit it in - cause it all means in the end I reach my goal - so it will depend on the day and how I feel and how much time I have.

ok heading to bed - had a long day.

take care of you

As you start to build up to your half-marathon, you'll want to change up those runs. The weekends will probably be the only times you'll really have to put in the longer runs. It'll be great to start now and get accustomed to the different cycles that prepare you for the distance running.
