I did not feel like a retired person this week. I was ill with a probable GI flu on Saturday and Sunday. I did spend much time sleeping and consuming liquids. However on Monday I hit the ground running.
I am the past president of South Berks Association of School Retirees. We had a meeting on Wednesday. I had a few items to prepare ahead of time. The luncheon went smooth. My friend did an outstanding job sharing pictures of the trips to Germany and Tuscany. It was challenging to get the projector setup, the hotel banquet staff to setup the screen and some incidentals.
I am the president-elect of the Berks County Association of School Retirees. We held a legislative awareness luncheon for 80 attendees and the State Senators, State Representatives, and US Congressmen who represent our County. It was a super luncheon. I called each legislator and spoke with their scheduler person. That meant from Monday onward, I had phone calls, texts, emails and more as we got them to speak at our luncheon and also to hear our people. Awesome experience.
I also got to the golf course and did 3 peronal trainings this week. There was one Consistory planning meeting.
Today I swam and then rested! Hopefully I will Zumba tomorrow at 8 am.
