March 13, 2012 - Friday the 13th! So, I consumed 2579 calories yesterday, which was not the plan. However, I did HONESTLY tracked them all and I ate nutritious meals. Unfortunately, the leftover Easter treats got the best of me, and although I made a conscious decision to eat them, they still cost me 1048 calories - 2/3 of a day's calories with no nutritive value and way too much sugar! On top of which, the snacking was less than usual. WHAT am I thinking? I am 220 ppounds and an insulin dependent diabetic! Without those snacks, I was in my range, I did make a great salad, but should cut down a bit on the dressing.
Changes I could make:
whole grain bagel instead of plain bagel
lite cream cheese instead of regular cream cheese
lite dressing instead of regular dressing
lite mayo instead of regular mayo
These changes alone would result in a reduction of 230 calories, completely painlessly!
Today, my meal plan is better, and the Easter treats will be out of sight, out of mind.
