Read an interesting article t'other day about people who don't get enough sleep having slower metabolic rate... Those who only get 5.5 hours per night apparently can be as much as 12% less than normal.
My crappy sleep varies, but yeah, 5-6 hours would be about my range.
So, that might be a contributing factor as to why this has been going so slowly, and I may need to adjust my ideas about how many calories I need.
I've been trying to accomplish this w/o calorie counting, but maybe I need a check-in, to see where I stand.
In positive news, did a check-in with the tape measure this morning and an inch seems to have vanished from my waist sometime in the last few days...
Maybe what I really need is to toss the scale!
(Except, not. My personal longitudinal study has shown an unmistakeable correlation between not weighing myself and steady weight gain.)
