A couple of things...
1) I don't think I've been eating enough calories in a day for the amount I'm burning
2) I read in my Prevention magazine about a 2-day diet. Anyone heard of it?
Basically, there was a study done. For 12 weeks, one group of people were on a strict 1500 calorie diet. The other group was mindful of what they ate 5 days a week and for 2 days out of the week, they abstained from starchy carbs. The 2 day people lost almost twice as much as the 1500 calorie people!
Now, I've done the low carb thing before and I just don't find it sustainable on a daily basis, but I can pretty much do ANYTHING for only 2 days. So, starting next week, I'm going to pick 2 random days to NOT have anything starchy or carby and see how it goes. If it's successful at the end of a month, then I'll continue on.
I think my biggest problem is that I am not eating enough (who'd a thunk?)
