Well I stepped up my game for 8 weeks ending last month and managed to learn some new superset exercises and grew to love the push up handles. It really helped me to focus and I finally in a last ditch effort for the last week of the challenge got a grip on my eating and showed a loss (had a muscle gain though which was nice).
This month I decided to do 10,000 kettlebell swings, because I LOVE the kettlebells. I love counting reps and counting down doing sets. I love that people look at me in awe, because kettlebells are awe inspiring. I love that my arthritic wrists don't hurt much anymore because the bells have made them stronger. I love that I've got more overall power when I am at work or doing anything else.
And I am amazed. The first workshop I took in kettlebells crippled me for two days. Inner thighs and ass seized up and complained a whole lot about this new kind of exercise torture. Now, a year later, doing KB at least a little 3 times a week (and now 5 times a week for this challenge) I'm amazed at how it never hurts. I woke up Apr 2 after doing a brutal 768 swings to start the challenge and did that body check that I do in the morning to see how life will feel, and nothing....no pain, anywhere. I was happily shocked! Now almost halfway through the challenge, still no pain. I'm SO freaking happy!
