I completed my 3rd half marathon last month - WooHoo Me! Do I sound less than enthusiastic? That's because I'm in the let-down period. Thinking, what's next? Do I go for another? Do I shoot for the big one (a full marathon)? I know it's quite the accomplishment to have run 3 half marathons, but to just focus on my 4th seems like kind of a flat goal.
Now, some things to consider:
Summer is quickly approaching, and with it MUCH hotter weather.
Hubby will be gone and my treadmill is in my non-air conditioned garage. Any running I do will be in there during the wee hours of the morning before work and the kiddos get up.
I have never quite hit my second weight loss goal. I have managed to stay at a healthy BMI for about a year now, but my body fat percentage is still higher than I'd like it to be.
I am about a year out from my black belt in both Ketsugo Ryu Jujitsu and a blended martial arts system at my dojo. To make it within this year will take some serious concentration on my training.
Until late September, I will pretty much be a single parent, working 12 hours a day, with my hubby gone at training.
It is looking like I am going to be focusing on martial arts and reducing my body fat percentage. I would like to still run, but may limit it to twice a week so I can add more martial arts classes, strength training and flexibility training. Tracking my food intake will be a MUST, as will stress reduction.
Looking at the above factors, my final goals, whatever they may be for the next 6 months, will NOT be easy. Stress will be high, but I CAN DO THIS!!!!
