Bad fibromyalgia day today, ugh. But - I walked down to get the mail today at work (10 minutes) and did as much of my scheduled weight training as I could (6 out of 8 exercises). My previous routine would have been to come home and collapse in front of the computer and just wallow in the pain. Instead I reminded myself that sticking with the exercise will ultimately make that pain more manageable. Oh, and found a BARGAIN at Big Lots. EA Sports Active 2 Personal Trainer for the PS3. It comes with the motion sensor bands for the wrists and thigh (one of which is also a heart monitor) and an exercise band and works with Playstation Move. It has both strength training and cardio as well as assorted other features that can be tracked online. Even better - it was only $15.00 - less than half the price it sells for at Gamestop. It looks like it's a bit more intense than I'm ready for just yet, but I'll let you know what it's like when I get there.

I'm also under my calories limit and well balanced, even with my one soda included. I absolutely must recommend the Spark Recipe for Honey Balsamic Chicken - excellent and only 173 calories per serving.

So, in spite of not feeling well all day and being in pain tonight, it's been a fairly good day.

Hi Kym. I have fibro too and what you said was just what i needed to hear tonight! I can relate! Having some terrible pain in left shoulder and upper arm, all muscles can play games with that but keeping it still makes it worse. So, yep, have to make myself make it move, so starting with limbering it back up some. Weights will come over time if I can keep it up, literally.
Shoulder joint has arthritis and I guess all my younger years of athleticism, swimming and weights and tossing 20 man liferafts around ( they weigh 155lbs, navy aviation gear for P3 planes.) and tossing haybales over my head to stack them when I had horses too. Hmm, might it have affected the joints? yep.....

and here I was thinking of getting a motorcycle since I am on foot and with gas so expensive these days....... I dont think I can reach the handle on the left side of the handlebar at this point, so I will work on it! I want that motorcycle . I need wheels , like way past yesterday! emoticon and I had better do it too!
keep it up, gurl! Sounds like you are doing awesome!

Good for you, Kym! In just a month and a half, I am already noticing that the pain in my knees is lessening and the pain in my hips is GONE. So exciting!
