Convention Day 1
Wednesday, April 11, 2012
The sky was overcast and looked like spring when I arrived. The ocean mimicked the mean, beautiful gray of the late afternoon clouds. The boardwalk was calling to me, however there was convention set up work that had to be done. No walk.
The view from the room is breathtaking. The room being on the 61st floor gives views of the ocean and bay. The other good new is that the room is located over 1 city block away from where the conference is being held. It doesn't feel so far when walking in the hotel and helps with the activity level.
The set up team from my association were men. When dinner plans were made they decided I couldn't live the rest of my life without having a meal at Hooter's. Hooter's was quite interesting, very noisy and packed with people. My fellow diners enjoyed french fries AND cheese covered french fries with their burgers. My grilled chicken salad rated barely a so-so and left me feeling unsatisfied.
So far so good. I survived Hooter's and day 1 eating wise. Now onto day 2.
Wishing all a wonderful day!
