Better choices today

Sunday and Monday I just went hog wild on candy. Sunday had a few pieces the Easter bunny brought me, then Monday had a bunch that co-workers had. Didn't feel too bad about it because I had given it up for Lent, and knew I wouldn't do it any more. Yesterday I was off work and didn't eat my fruit for breakfast and veggies for lunch like I usually do. Had a couple of Godiva truffles (left from my valentine's day present) and some jelly beans.

Today I have a splitting headache. I have been getting plenty of sleep so I'm pretty sure the candy is to blame. I resolved this morning that I was not going to touch even one piece while I'm at work. This is difficult because there are three ladies that stocked up on clearance candy with overflowing candy dishes. I can avoid two of them pretty easily, but the third one is right next to my boss's desk so I have had to go past her a few times. So far, so good. I've decided if I get through the day without having any that I will allow myself ONE truffle after dinner tonight.

    Stay strong! I know you can do it. Sugar headaches are the worse! We have a people in the office just like that as well. I try to steer clear of them at all cost, and I always have a bag a grapes handy to take off the sweet edge!
